Camera Update

Due to the on-going maintenance at the Depot, the cameras will be offline for at least 2 weeks.

Every effort will be made to get them back for Opening Day, but this is largely out of our hands. I was told that the data network the cameras use can't be reconnected until the construction crew is finished.

Mr. Bush posted about this on the NGDF: http://ngdiscussion.net/phorum/read.php ... msg-264650

Unfortunate timing for us, but I'm sure the maintenance is necessary. Thanks for the update Jason, and certainly will look forward to the day the cams are back on.

It's funny -- was thinking last night that roughly a year or so ago today I knew nothing about these cameras in the Chama yard, and just happened to find them after watching a DVD that had the C&T featured, then doing a web search on the railroad, then became a friends member, and hope to get up to the railroad for the first time this year, or next. Amazing though how much you miss something after such a short time, and make it an almost ritual part of your day to look in at the yard.

We all look forward to the day the cameras are back on -- until then, we just need to be patient. I will say I hope the June comment above is wrong, but perhaps the maint work is just more than originally thought.

Thanks to all who keep this site up and running, and those working to get the cameras back online.
