There was a little action to be seen this afternoon. #15 appeared in the open door of engine house stall #2, and pulled the locomotive, which had been sitting out in front, back through the shop. Shortly thereafter, #15 came out from behind the shops and trundled down to near the ash pit, backed up to #484, pulled it forward across the ash pit, and then pushed it into stall #2 of the engine house. #15 is currently sitting out front of stall #2. I noticed, as #484 was near the tipple, that it needs a bit of paint touch-up on the boiler, as did #463 when I last saw it up close. I'm sure that will all be taken care of in the near term. And I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more action as we move into the next couple of weeks, preparing for the pre-season charters, shuffling equipment before the first "Friends" work session, and getting ready to start the regular season. I gotta get down there!
