New Camera Viewer Test

Would some of you regular viewers give this a test for me?

Our ISP designed a new viewer that shows the number of people watching. It updates every 2 seconds. It also works on the Android OS.

I'm not ready to go live with this, needs more testing.

*If it doesn't work for you, try updating your browser and Java software. I know it works on IE9, IE10, and Firefox 24.

If you find any problems, please email me at Jason@ColoradoNewMexicoSteamTrain.org. I'd appreciate some screen-shots of problems if you're tech savvy enough to do that.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your assistance.

Both links work well for me in IE9, FF24 and Chrome Browsers. I do like the count, always wondered how many are really watching other than the ones that post on a regular basis. Will be interesting for sure during the busy times of the year.

When the last train arrived on Sunday there were over 200 watching.

If you, or any one else, can guess the max number this year I'll give you a free yearly subscription to the cameras.

Bonus credit for getting the date.

Well I never win the lottery, so probably will have the same luck but I'll take a stab at it. Max number -- 325 -- Date, June 20. That's my guess.

About what I figured! :-? No real idea on the number total wild guess, but the only other time I'd figure the would be a max viewing is the end of Sept when the two Geese were in town, and 315 as well I think. Will look forward to the answer when you post it.

Jason, I see if I have a window tab open with one link, I can't open another tab with the other link.

Tom, could you elaborate a bit? I don't follow.

Thanks.

I will try.

What I did is click on the second link and it opens as normal. I can click on the page and it goes live. If I open a new window and go back to the links you posted and click on the first one, it won't open completely. It loads to where it shows the words but doesn't pop the window to click on. Not a big thing, just thought u would like to know. It could be my PC.

The first time I tried it I had a window open like I usually do and then tried to go to the first link and it worked. when I went back with the window open it wouldn't load all the way. That is when I tried doing it in reverse to see.

Thanks, Tom. That's interesting. Sounds like a glitch on your machine. I've had multiple camera pages opened at once while testing and haven't seen that issue.

However, I'm still tweaking the code and it's possible that as I refine it, I'll resolve your issue.
