Oct 19th Departure Cam Video

Unread postby Larry Sullivan » Sat Oct 19, 2013 10:07 am

I just got home about 10 minutes prior to departure -- was able to capture this using the software Bandicam. There are a few bobbles in there I'll try to edit out at a later time, but figured I'd try to get this up today. Actual departure is about 2:30 in, and at the end I get 463 backing from the fire pit to the engine house.

Thought it would be good for those that might have missed it today.

If this works right, you should be able to just click on the picture and go to the video -- if it doesn't work right, I'll delete -- bear with me, first time trying this way.

Thanks so much for doing this for us that couldn't be at our screens when they departed!
As some of my former students would say "you done good"!

Happy to do it and make a small contribution. I'll try to get the final departure for the season tomorrow as well.

If anyone is having issues viewing the video I'd appreciate knowing - like I said, first time doing this way.

Doesn't work for me, but the issue is probably -- almost certainly -- on my end. I'm running an old Mac G4, meaning the most recent versions of Flash player are not available to me. It's an inconvenience now. In about a year it'll have turned into a major handicap. But by then I'll have saved up enough to go shopping. Probably.

Not to worry. I was watching that morning.

be well,

Thanks Bob -- if I get into any major amounts of posting these videos next season, I'll make sure I have them in a way all can see. Will talk to one of my more knowledgeable tech guys to find out how I can do it better. Perhaps will just have to use YouTube or something, appreciate you letting me know you had an issue.

Worked for me Larry. Win7 and Explorer10. Little long in the tooth, could trim the 1st 2 minutes off.

Thanks Tom. I have to crank up the video editing software again for sure, will touch some of these up. I'll get better as I do more of them!
