Track Maintenance Equipment

Unread postby Edwin Frey » Fri Sep 20, 2013 2:12 pm

As of 3:00 PM, there are units of track maintenance equipment visible on both the north and south cameras. I haven't seen these before, but I'll bet they've had a lot to do with the great shape the track is in and the smooth rides we get. Makes for a lot less wear and tear on the rolling stock and those who ride in it!

Marvin and Ronnie have been using 487 and 3 steel hoppers to spread ballast from the north yard switch to up past Ed's house (Broad Spur). Don' t know how far they will go - there was enough ballast piled up inside the wye to go a long ways.
