My Screen is Clean

Unread postby Dave in CA » Fri Sep 20, 2013 10:12 am

With the morning train long gone and engine 487 off on it own somewhere, I simply had the webcams running in the back ground while I worked. Also, there was plenty of activity to watch with the Friends Of folks milling about. At 10:00am PST, I could hear some clamoring from within the coal tipple, then some voices. So, I enlarged the screen on the North facing camera to have a look. Suddenly, a Windex bottle appeared and promptly washed my computer screen (had to duck as the cleaner spritzed over my keyboard). About 10 minutes later, the same thing happened again through the South Camera. So, to the fine individual making sure we can continue to see the train activity at Chama through clean lenses: My hat's of to you! Dave.

"Fine individual" is quite the over-statement. But, you're welcome.

Joe Kanocz deserves equal credit. Team work is a beautiful thing.

Special thanks to my wife, Michele, and brother, Ben, for moral support from the ground.

Jason, Michele, Ben and Joe: Thank you SO much for your efforts... not only for keeping the lenses clean, but also keeping the site up and running. It is appreciated by all of us, "who were born too late." I wish I could have been there with you... I'd be buying dinner for all!

Wow! What a difference. I was watching last night and thought it was clearer, didn't read about the cleaning until now. Thanks Jason, and Joe and the ground moral support team!
