Visitor in the roundhouse

Unread postby Edwin Frey » Sat Sep 14, 2013 5:51 am

Near dusk last evening, #15 ambled down to the west end of the line and then returned with restored C-19 #315. The RPO car had been moved out of the right stall of the roundhouse earlier, and 315 was tucked in there for the night. It's here for charter trips, and we can expect to see it around the yards later this month.:smilie6:

It was getting dark but I don't think I saw a tender - is that coming today?

I understood that 315's tender showed up yesterday. Looks like 315 might be unser steam right now. Hard to tell but it's a smaller loco.

9:58 PDT, 9/15/13: They just finished moving 315 and her tender into the engine shed. Looking forward to seeing her under steam!

Gary, I didn't see 315 come out to play today. At about 6:30PM, 463 was dumping her ashes. We saw quite a bit of 463 today. It appears that there's an Engineer/Fireman School taking place, with her, which started out working in the yard this morning, a mid-day run to Cumbres, more switching after she got back into town. They just put her to bed in front of the engine house at about 7:30PM.

My mistake. Must have been 463.
