I posted this on the NGDF and figured I'd better post it here as well.

From the north-facing camera you can see (left to right):
The Bunk House
Coaling Area
Gramps Oil Rack
Mainline to Denver (Antonito)
Water Tank
Engine House Lead

From the south-facing camera you can see (left to right):
Engine House
Roundhouse
Yard
Main Line to Durango (track ends about a half mile out of view)
Depot

Interesting... but I think the fields of view are actually about 5º off (should be rotated clockwise). We can actually see more of the track to the right of the water tower on the north camera, and more area behind the depot on the south camera. Whatever, I enjoy the views! Kinda looks like the lens on the south camera could use someone to clean it right now, which I'm sure you would be happy to do if only you could get away from your desk! :smilie6:

Best I could do on the fly. I'll clean it up later.

I plan to be up there in late September to do a little maintenance. I'll make sure to clean the lenses while there.

When you get out there, be sure to take a couple cans of wasp/hornet spray. They seem to be having a gathering, particularly around the south camera. Either that or pray for a hard freeze before you get there. ;-)

Thanks for this site. I enjoy watching the Chama yard at any angle. Will the cameras be up all year? I am looking forward to the leaves turning and the snow season.
Thanks again.

Yes, they'll be up all year.

Please donate to help keep them going.
