well ok it's just the one so far. 8:30 am MT Maybe we will see more action from this engine today instead of them just steaming it up then putting it back into the shed.

Since the wind has sifted its blowing the engine's smoke right in the camera's direction making it hard to see this beautiful engine do its thing.

Switching operation is taking place @12:50 MT. Appears to be some sort of issue with 3 boxcars in foreground of South camera

Through " the smoke and the fog in this little switch yard " (Hank Snow ;-) )I was able to get a fast look at a number board. 488. Looks to be starting the yard chores to get ready for the season

Hey Rich, 488 or 489? Whistle sounded a bit like '89 to me.

I too thought it was '89 but it sure looked like 488 on the number board. (subject to someone with a better screen :) looking at it.)

I'm thinking that was a load test and I'm also thinking from the sound, it needs some 'tweaking'.

She dropped 3 boxcars and a flat in the swamp and then went back inside the Engine House.

Sure was nice to see and hear some action today.

I belive they are fine tuning her to get her in working order for the season :P so we can probably expect to see more test runs over the next few weeks
