All four K-36's in Chama

Unread postby Edwin Frey » Wed Oct 08, 2014 8:41 am

For the first time this year, that I can remember, all four of the K-36's are in Chama this morning. 487 is ready to pull today's train, 489 has gone west to the wye area (another ballast train today?), 488 is parked in front of the roundhouse, and 484 is in the engine house. Having the 463 online has been a boon to operations. It's usually assigned to lead double headers up to Cumbres, then continue on to Antonito and to bring back the next day's train. That in addition to being the star of the show on special trains. Less than a couple more weeks left in the regular season, followed by the triple-header excursions. I'm going to miss seeing the action after the end of the month!

Looks like #489 just pulled up behind 216 with the ballast gondolas, so should have two departures close together this morning I assume.
