Camera Update (August 30)

Unread postby Jason Rose » Sat Aug 30, 2014 4:17 pm

Made some good progress today. There are still some hurdles we need to overcome with the network node we're replacing, mostly related to my being 1,000 miles from Chama. But, we have a very good plan worked out to get around those issues. It's entirely possible the cameras will be back online next weekend or early the following week. Nothing is set in concrete, so please don't get your hopes up just yet.

John Engs and Steve Forney will be in town this next week to finish laying the new conduit and Cat5 cable. The new topology is far less susceptible to power surges.

We'll keep working until this is finished. Thank you for your continued patience and encouragement.

Jason, I for one, and I know every body else feels the same, appreciate the time and effort you put into this. Strange how we have all made these cameras a big part of our lives and miss then a lot. Keep up the good work and thank you so much. Gerry
