Train Departure Video - 6-09-14

Quite a smoke show from today's departure -- video below. 484 leads train 216 today, I think this is the locomotive that Larry Gibson noted as having the headlight out the other day -- still looks like a much dimmer headlight than the others, but perhaps just the lighting causing that.

Other curiosity question, I've notice the last several days a red tank trunk that heads out from behind the shop after the train departs, and heads up the road (you'll see it going on the main street at the end of the video). Is this a water truck/fire fighting truck that follows along with the train just in case? I don't remember it from last year. Enjoy the video!

I believe the firetruck is known as "Moose." I've seen it heading out as well. Must be precautionary.

Thanks again for the videos, Larry.

Thanks Jason, love the nicknames they have for some of the equipment there.

I think Sony had Moose at his garage last year for work. Came back this spring and is following the train up the hill.
