Deer Almost Gets Hit

I believe it was two days ago that the westbound train almost hit a deer right in Chama. The deer ran alongside the bunk house, in back of the work train tender and across the main right in front of the locomotive. It took me by surprise and I first thought it was a dog until I realized it was way too big to be one and also that it didn't run like a dog but "bounded"
just like I've seen deer do many times.
