A light dusting of snow on the ground this morning 4 days before the opening of the season. With 463 and 484 sitting and waiting to stretch there legs and get back into action.

Wonder if 463 will head to Antonito today? Since 488 is coming back this afternoon, would make sense if she did.

315 also needs to get to Antonito for opening day.

484 comes out for a visit to the ash pit. Then 463 came out.

463 now comes to the pit as 484 takes on water.

Both 463 and 484 head back to the house.

Sorry, I don't seem to be able to do screen grabs. 488 arrived from Antonito around 4:30, went down to the wye to turn its short train around, and after dropping off the cars, came to the house track for water and dumping ashes. So we currently have three hot locomotives in Chama. Should be interesting tomorrow!

3 hot and steaming this evening. With snow on the plow from coming over the pass....going to be an interesting start of the season.

315 also needs to get to Antonito for opening day.

I have heard that 315 is double-heading with a K-36 (likely 484) from Chama-Cumbres, with the 2-8-2 taking the train to Antonito and 315 will run light. She will therefore not head to Antonito.
