2019 postings of daily doings

Unread postby Sharon Evans » Fri May 10, 2019 6:10 am

It has been a hard decision to make, but I have decided not to continue with the daily posting of the Chama yard activities and departure and arrival of the trains. I have other things going on in my life and the time it takes to do this work to my level of satisfaction is not there any longer. It was enjoyable and will miss it to some extent. Hope that there is someone or others who will be willing to post some of what happens.

Sharon, this is heart-braking news. We all will miss you very much, your webcam posts were fantastic. I could post screen shots if you want me to. Jack

Thank you for your service, Sharon. Your efforts are appreciated.

Some advancements have been made with the technology recently and we're auto-magically recording everything now. I don't have the time to post the way Sharon was (and Larry before her), but I can retrieve videos if we miss something import and there's a desire for it.

More on that later...

Sharon, I have posted screenshots before. What I do is open a Word document, screenshot a cam (usually south), save as "489 comes out of the house" etc, click browse, find the picture I want, click on open, then click add file, and the screenshot will come up. But thanks for reminding me.

Jack, check out the "Snipping Tool" in Windows. It's super easy to use and free.

Thank-you for your hard work and service for all the daily posts. Well done!!!

As a semi regular poster I know the effort it takes to make this commitment that you have faithfully fulfilled over these past seasons taking over from Larry Sullivan.

Thanks to both of you we have several years of archives that can be drawn on for future reference.

Hope to see an occasional post from you as you desire too.

Thank- you!!!
