487 is out and about in the yard, so maybe another ballast run. Am recording so will review these on my return later and post what I find. Last check before I leave and 484 is now out in the yard.

After dropping its train the 484 headed to the wye to turn.

After moving the 463 around today, it ended up in the east stall and now looks like 15 is coming out with its tender.

Sharon, is that 463's tender east of the rotary snowplow ?

No that's is 489s so the locomotive body of 489 and 463 are in the east stall of the house. I figured out why I did not see them take 463's tender down into south yard. They have to clear it of residual coal before they do that and I have been watching a loader move in and out of the area south of the house.

Caught a lucky grab today with the ballast train having been turned at the pass.

And I'd really love some insight into the "little train" - 484 running "backwards," short caboose and a flat.

Me also Bruce, it seemed pointless to me running that train out and back and it looked like nothing was done with it. Guess that up the line somewhere they needed to move some stuff that required the flat.

I wonder if they are brushing and using the flat for that?

If they're brushing then they must have somewhere along the line where they're unloading. The flat goes out empty and comes back the same...
