Morning preparations: It is currently 33 degrees in Chama. Another cold morning to ride in those unheated cars.

Morning preparations continued and departure of train 216:

The 463 has coupled onto today's 216 making it a 12 car train

The 463 has pulled the train forward into loading position and it is now awaiting the 488 to couple on

Arrival of train 215:

Based on the parlor position its either 8 or 9 cars most likely.

I went back and reviewed this mornings 216 and the first 3 cars on that train flipped at Osier and came back on 215.


The train returned from the wye and took 2 of the extra coaches off, so right now, 9 cars are staged for the last day which means we end on another double header.

Adding one screen capture to highlight the unusual here. After 484 brings 215 into the station we witness a ballon launch
over the yard. Looks like someone had a possible birthday treat ride today???

They have come out again with this long string and are getting ready to do something I have no seem in Chama
