7/8/16 Sunny Friday in Chama

484 comes out of the east lead and over to the west side and moves the 487 back over to the east side. The lead switch is again lined to the west so the locomotive over there is probably today's road locomotive. I am doing my best to ID this locomotives at a distance based on small features on the plow front, could be wrong and won't know until one gets closer.

The 484 has moved out behind the 489. This could mean the 489 is headed out for another check run or we could be seeing a double headed, who knows until something more happens. Just my thoughts, but it we were going to see a double header why would 489 have taken coal while at the house?

Different setup than what left this morning. Even more of interest is that your capture is after they turned at the wye, came back up to get some gas from the storage house, backed to the depot then headed out of the yard again, which by the time stamp is your capture. Have to wonder why for sure.

Some late evening mule deer visited. The one by the sandbox lay down and stayed for a while, the two crossing the track in the North cam went off someplace near the bunk house.

There is a siding to the left of the main, between the main and westbound leg of the wye. They turn the engine and then back into the siding to await 216
