10-20 Servicing and then some

Unread postby Edwin Frey » Tue Oct 20, 2015 9:00 am

Lots of smoke and steam as the engine house crews bring the four hot locomotives in front up to the ash pit and water tank for morning service. not sure where #463 is this morning. One notable addition this morning is that the big bucket loader is back in action... haven't seen that piece out all summer. Perhaps there will be some shuffling of cars in the yard today, especially if they start making up the consist for the charter and clearing the way for Mr. Bush's five-engine photo op for later in the week. Haven't figured out how to do photo captures on my system yet. Perhaps others will get some.

Here's a few screencaps for you Edwin!

First to the ash pit this morning was 484

Followed by 489, both went back to the left side shop track.

Next to the ashpit was 488 and as Edwin pointed out the big loader was moving around.

463 still behind 488 on the right shop track, almost appears cold, but has not come to ash pit at all yet. Also still no sign of 487

11:45am a lone deer shows up and grazes on the tipple track, she spent quite a bit of time wandering and grazing finally leaving and heading back to the swamp around 12:27

Also of note the white truck next to 463, initially it looked like they were working on 463, hard to tell in and out of the smoke, but I think I see movement near the loco from time to time.

Well other than the morning servicing, things have been very quiet in the yard today.

Thought I'd add in a couple of videos of the weather.

10-20-15 Sleet/Snow squall hits the yard.

10-20-15 Same storm, but an hour of time in about 1:30 - no sound on this one.
