Gettin' Some Practice with a Fairmont S-2

Yeah, the rails are too far apart here, but in every other sense the Red River & Gulf is a narrow gauge railroad. It has all the right flavors and personality. :lol:

Most of you probably don't know that the Friends have a strong connection to this railroad. Many of the parts for the wooden passenger car trucks were created in our belt-driven machine shop by John Weiss.

Heck yeah!! He'll be running all the equipment at Long Leaf long before he learns to drive a truck.
