Caught Goose 5 at Railfest of this year at the Shalona Lake crossing. Sure is different than a steam engine!

You are right and a totally different experience riding, especially in the front. We had the feeling we were flying down the track much faster than in a train coach. If you get the chance take a Goose "flight." Thanks for sharing.

Larry,
Must have super fun seeing the RR from that perspective. I've only ridden Goose 7 at the CRRM, but got to ride up front and had a fun ride. I only wish I had time to ride when I was there in Durango. Cool picture! William aka drgwk37

Joanie, our grandson and I took off a day from work session G to ride the goose from Antonito to Osier and back, and it was GREAT! After hearing about the "waddling like a goose" observation that gave them their name, I was expecting a poor ride. But with the track on the CATS is such great shape, the ride was very nice, what a surprise.
