Chama teams are focused on a wide range of projects: yard landscaping, right-of-way brush and tree control, wood preservative treatment, milepost & whistle board maintenance, sheep pen and railroad property mowing, restoration of RPO 54 and Derrick OP, repairing sheep car 5633, rebuilding gondola 9558, masonry pointing for the pumphouse walls and chimney, converting boxcar 3585 to the new tool car, cosmetically restoring engine 483 -- in addition to the support functions of food preparation, tool car operation, paint supplies, chronicling, report writing, etc.
There were lots of trips to the water coolers in 93 degree heat!

- Chama depot sign was repainted in Session C by the Milepost & Whistle Board Maintenance Team; the sign could hardly be read before it was repainted!
- Laurel Hoppes works on landscaping the Chama yard, planting flowers in new boxes constructed during Session C by Larry and Phil McDonald
- Bob Hawkins and Wayne Huddleston have reinstalled the "Baggage" sign on the Chama Depot; it was partially painted, along with the "Freight sign, in Session C
- Original pipe flanges that connected to the donkey steam engine on Derrick OP were cast iron; it was decided to upgrade, and TL Russ Hanscom machined and welded the four new flanges shown here. Welding high pressure steam fittings definitely separates the "men from the boy" welders!
