The Friends have concluded two very successful capital campaigns - Another Century of Narrow Gauge Steam I and II - and are now launching another fund-raising program - called Preserving the Narrow Gauge Past for the Future - which is focused on specific restoration and interpretive projects, as described on the Friends' web site at the following link:

An updated progress report on ACNGS-II has just been posted on the Friends' web site which provides details on the work that has been accomplished with those funds. Go to the following link:

John Cole has reminded us (the Development and Interpretation Committee) that we did not include the Dispatcher Display (with telephone and telegraph system) in the Chama Depot in our ACNGS-II progress report. John, forgive the oversight. We have corrected it, and will include it with our next revision. This was a special project because the late Bob Tully, who was one of the Friends' most dedicated volunteers and chaired the Project Committee for years, worked with John and others to get this done. Thanks, John!
