Keith Hayes, John Hankey and our NHL team had a good day in Washington, DC on Tuesday May 15th with our National Historic Landmark presentation. Our nomination was forwarded unanimously so it is onto the National Park Service Advisory Board in Denver the week of May 21st. We anticipate that the nomination could be formally approved somewhere between August and October. The nomination received a fantastic amount of support letters so we want to thank everyone who submitted letters to the NPS. We'll keep everyone posted as the nomination works its way towards the top.

Keith Hayes was in Denver today for the second round in the NHL process. It is with great pleasure that Keith informs us that the National Park System Advisory Board unanimously approved the slate of nominated NHL properties this morning, including the Cumbres & Toltec. The nomination now moves to the Superintendent of the National Park Service and on to the Secretary of the Interior for his signature. Thanks to everyone for their help and support on this project!
