Chama departure on the 20th

Unread postby Wayne Hoskin » Tue Jun 20, 2017 9:14 am

Hello from the other side of the world, got to watch this mornings departure on the web cams, just curious if there was any issues with the engine.
I sort thought the smoke from the engine had a orange hue to it and on departure the train stopped down past the water tank for a bit before she finally left.
Was everything all ok there? it was a beautiful sight though, wish I was there again.

Wayne from Oz.

I don't know the reason for the stop but orangish smoke is not uncommon. It is generally due to impurities in the coal,
