RGS 455 September 2017 Charter Info

In conjunction with the 2017 National Narrow Gauge Convention in Denver, the Friends along with the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad will be partnering on a narrow gauge extravaganza on September 4-5 & 6, 2017. For the first time in 20 years, the Rio Grande Southern will live again on the C&TS, with the re-creation of RGS 455*. We are planning on actual RGS caboose #0400 and are working to make this an even bigger and better event. More details will be announced in the near future.

*D&RGW #463 will be lettered with the Rio Grande Southern sunrise herald and numbered 455 to represent how she looked between 1941 and 1943. This event is a fund raiser for the restoration of D&RGW T-12 #168 as well as Friends general restoration. The #168 will be on display in Antonito during this event.

Dates: Monday September 4, Tuesday September 5 & Wednesday September 6, 2017  

September 4 (1 day package) $269.00
September 5 & 6 (2 day package) $899.00 Limited to 45 tickets!

All trips will originate in Antonito. Coffee, pastries, soft drinks, and bottled water and lunches at are included in the ticket price. The Friends will begin accepting deposits for this event on January 3, 2017. $100 will hold a place on the September 4 event or the September 5 & 6 events. The balance is due on June 1, 2017. Your deposit becomes non-refundable at that point. Checks can be made payable to; Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, Inc. We also accept MasterCard, VISA and Discover.
