Team Leader Appreciation Program Announced

Through cooperative efforts between the C&TS and Friends an incentive program for Team Leaders has been created. This appreciation program is based on the number of work session weeks a Friends member serves as a team leader throughout the 2015 Friends work session season. The reward will be a complimentary coach ticket(s) on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad.

When a Friends member volunteers to be a team leader for a minimum of two (2) weeks during the season, that individual will receive one (1) complimentary coach fare ticket. This “comp” ticket must be used during the 2015 season.

When a Friends member volunteers to be a team leader for a minimum of four (4) weeks during the season, that individual will receive two (2) complimentary coach fare tickets. This “comp” ticket must be used during the 2015 season.

When a Friends member volunteers to be a team leader for a minimum of six (6) weeks during the season, that individual will receive a complimentary “season pass”. Rides via this pass will need to be taken during the 2015 season.

Recognition of the job team leaders accomplish in helping to complete work projects dedicated to the support of a National Landmark, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, is a major step forward in support of the Friends mission; recognition that has been a long time coming. Knowing that team leaders have a limited time to spend on the railroad those earning the “comp” ticket(s) will have the opportunity to utilize them anytime during the season. There are railroad guidelines that apply to the use of coach tickets. Plan to make your reservation(s) when you arrive. With this reward we hope to encourage more members to step forward and accept the challenges of becoming a team leader. It is not too late for you to become a team leader during the 2015 work session season.
