Can anyone give us an update on the Chama Wye extension? Any photos?

Rich will be in town in the next few days and has promised pictures.

If you don't already know, it's in service.

There was a time in the railroad's not so distant past that the tail of the wye trackwork is in better condition than almost all of the mainline of the CATS. Good show John Matthews and his track crew! How far we have come in not a very long time. :smiley24:

The railroad actually started using it on July 4th. Saves a great deal of time turning the train and preparing it for the next day. It also provides great turnaround for the night trains plus when we ran our Moonlight & Wine Tasting train on July 11th.

Joe and Rich, thanks for the additional photos. Along with Jason's "under construction" photos of last month or so it gives a nice complete picture.
