Friends Annual Dinner-June 20, 2014

Join us for an evening of enjoyment and camaraderie. We’ll have a wonderful beef brisket dinner with the trimmings and a terrific program to follow. The Annual Dinner begins at 6:00pm on Friday June 20 at the Chama Senior Center (Old Cooking Books) at the junction of Highways 17 & 84.

John Charles, Joe McMullen, and Steve Patterson from Denver will be presenting a multi-media program recalling their visit to the Narrow Gauge in December 1963. They have entitled this presentation “Cumbres Pass, December 1963 (50 Years Later).” It promises to be a very informative look back at the D&RGW’s narrow gauge system during what would be their last decade of operation as a common carrier on this piece of railroad.

Cost: $15/person

For those attending work session “C” please inform Holly Ross early that week that you will be attending. Those who are not attending that work session please call the Friends Office at 505-880-1311 by Wednesday June 18th and specify that you will attend and you may pay at the door.
