The May 2014 Roundtable will meet on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Red Lobster, 4455 Wadsworth Blvd in Wheat Ridge. DIRECTIONS: From east or westbound I-70, exit onto Wadsworth Blvd SOUTH and drive several blocks. Red Lobster is located on the west side of Wadsworth just north of 44th Street. On entering the building, walk to the private room at the back of the restaurant. We will dine and view the program in the same room. Plan to arrive about 5:30 p.m. The program begins after our meal, usually around 7 p.m.

John Charles will present two programs on Cumbres & Toltec Scenic snow fighting. The first will be images of the recent flanger plow train that operated out of Antonito for a group of rail photographers. The second will be a look back at several of the C&TS rotary plow events, the last being in 1997.

We will also have a short digital program of the construction progress of RTD’s commuter rail line from Denver Union Station to Ward Avenue in Wheat Ridge. Much work has been done in the last year and we’ll show some of it.
