Upcoming Trains Shows

Unread postby Tim Tennant » Thu Oct 03, 2013 3:34 pm

With autumn here, we wanted to make you all aware of some train shows coming up in the next few months where the Friends will be present. On November 30 & December 1, 2013 we'll have a booth at the Rocky Mountain Toy Train Show, Denver Merchandise Mart in Denver. Show hours are 10am-5pm both days. On December 7 & 8, 2013 we'll be at the Oklahoma City Train Show at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. On January 4 & 5, 2014 we'll have space at the Great Train Expo in Indianapolis, IN. On January 25 & 26, 2014 at the Amherst Railway Society Railroad Hobby Show in West Springfield, MA. On February 15 & 16, 2014 we'll be at the Mad City Train Show located at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI. We have some other shows materializing and will pass that information along when it is firmed up. Hope to see some of our members there and others who may have an interest in joining our organization.

How about the "Train Expo 2014" in June in Owosso, Michigan, Tim? That's the Steam Railroading Institute's big event again.

I was at the Santa Fe 2926 Open House in Albuquerque last weekend (Sept. 27). There were mobs of people there and I think it would be a good place to consider from their next open house, probably next fall. There were a couple other organizations there with tables and C&TS would probably fit right in.
