Quite a show from 487 and 489 this morning. Morning low in Chama was near 23 degrees. Great looking train set and locomotives. As well, it's very obvious the Chama yard is really the best preserved steam era rail yard.

Near broad spur and the start of the 4% grade.

Pulling into Dalton. Train stopped to pick up a late passenger.

Departing Dalton

Great videos, thanks Joe. It's amazing the amount of steam on the cold mornings, really puts on a great show. I find myself hopeful of a nice snow storm before the season is over for some snow scenes. Not too much, just a touch would be great!

Someone pointed out something to me today. If you listen to the stack talk, Jose the engineer in 487 was attempting to synchronize with 489. No easy feat and he did it. :smiley24:
