MOW Photo Charter-October 3, 2015

The Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, Inc. announces the operation of a Maintenance of Way Photo Charter on Saturday October 3, 2015. This train will feature gray MOW equipment including Pile Driver OB, Derrick OP, Cook Car 053, Wheel & Tie Car 06092 and other rolling stock pulled by Locomotive 463.

The train will operate on Saturday October 3, 2015 from Antonito to Osier and return. Departure from the Antonito Depot will be 10:15am and return at approximately 7:30pm. Photo runbys will take place at strategic locations on the westbound trip to Osier. A box lunch at Osier is included in the price of a ticket. This train is being limited to 50 passengers to ensure quality opportunities to take photos.

Demonstrations of OB and OP will take place on Sunday morning October 4, 2015 in the Antonito Yard. All proceeds from this charter will be put back into restoration efforts conducted by the Friends.

Fares for this special train are; $275/person-Caboose, $190/person-General Seating, $20 Donation for a Chase Pass. What is a Chase Pass?

A chase pass gives the non-riding chaser "permission" to be chasing and photographing the train. It's essentially a way to help support the operation of a special train without buying a full-price ticket and riding. Because the roads are public property, you aren't required to buy one. But, those that do will likely give you a hard time if you aren't displaying the pass.

It's understood that not everyone can afford these special trains. But, if you got yourself to Chama, you can afford a $20 chase pass to help support the operation... and the Friends.
