A newly released publication authored by Friends Board Member and Historian Spencer Wilson is hitting the book shelves! Saving the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is an account of the volunteer efforts that have taken place to save the operation since the States of Colorado and New Mexico purchased the railroad in 1970. Spencer offers an insider’s account of the triumphant tale of historical preservationists succeeding on an impressive scale.
This paperback book which is 192 pages long and contains 42 photographs is an absolute must for all Friends members and fans of the Cumbres & Toltec! This book retails for $16.99 but the Friends are working with the publisher The History Press and are offering members a discounted price of $13.00 (postage extra if you want it mailed). Proceeds from the sale of the book will come to the Friends.
