Several members of the C work session's milepost crew went to Los Pinos Tank to perform maintenance. We replanted the somewhat rare rail-mounted "S" whistle board for Los Pinos Station to straighten it and team member John Ferrell touched up the sign's black paint. Meanwhile, two other crew members were about a half-mile to the west at MP 325 to repair woodpecker damage. Also in the area, the crew hiked out to the Los Pinos station sign to straighten it, a chore that acting TL Mike Mahoney noted in his Project 750 report is an annual event. The dirt roads inside the Los Pinos loop are private and behind a locked gate, so getting to the station sign these days requires a hike around the loop from national forest land along the ROW back by the tank.
