As work begins today, I thought I would post overview shots of the yard so anyone looking could see where specific projects are, unless they are in the swamp.

To the left on the connector track are box car 3090 closest to us and the conversion of P-box 213 back to box car 3476 behind, to the right past the woodshop are the 3 cars moved yesterday. I think the furthest 2 are our storage cars.

In the center right of the shot, white in colour, is the re-build of the open passenger gon. Not sure if that will get work this session.

Great work going on, but appears flat car 6746 is becoming #6747. Is that correct?

That is what the pictures seem to show. Had me confused when checking FIDO for the work being done.

the Project list on FIDO says:

10. Paint 6746 using current best practices following repair before deck is installed.
11. Letter 6746 following repair, maintenance and painting to historic standard.

So I'm not sure what's going on. It could be a lettering error like this one from 2016 (since corrected...)!

Oopsie... perhaps stencils need to say "This Side Up."

Well... it looks "OK" to me.

Apologies. Couldn't help myself. :smiley16:

The pictures of the box car being worked on is actually the Friends paint storage boxcar. The P-Box being restored to a boxcar is across the main line from this one. in the pictures are Gary Tim and myself.

Yep, that was just me having a "senior moment" on 6746. I moved the wrong number. Needed more coffee, but, no fear, it was corrected before we even began lettering the other side. It did cause a bit of confusion for the morning's chronicler, though, to find it changed before they came back.
