#463 is alive

Unread postby John E Bush » Mon Mar 18, 2013 7:07 am

A fire was built in 463 on Thursday the 14th of March. On Friday the 15th it was first moved under it's own power. Testing, adjustments, and break in remain to be done as well as a punch list of other small items. When it is ready for service we will announce it.

Fantastic to hear that it moved under it's own power. I'll ask the next obvious question, how far?

Thanks for the update, Mr. Bush. This is fantastic news.

Was anyone there to record the first firing and movement?

I am hearing that the 463 went to the first grade crossing out of the yard and back, imagine that. :-)
