463 Update

Here is a quick update on the 463. On Friday June 8th we had a meeting which included Friends Chairman Craig McMullen, Director Bob Ross, President Tim Tennant, Commissioners Randy Randall and Billy Elbrock along with AHR VP Paul Schranck and C&TS GM Ken Masick. The locomotive is in the railroad's shop in Antonito and clearly we need a team effort from all three parties working together to finish the project. Paul Schranck is having D&S CMO Steve Jackson assess what is needed to be accomplished to complete the 463. We understand that assessment will take place this week. From that assessment we will collectively formulate the plan to finish the rebuild. For personal reasons Marty Knox who had been overseeing the project is back in Michigan tending to his shop business. We are working diligently to accomplish the goal of returning the 463 to active duty. We are almost there and we certainly appreciate everyone's support. As we assemble a clear plan we will communicate this.

Great news! Keep up the good work on this historically significant locomotive from the days of the Denver and Rio Grande.

Greg
