When we painted that little Rogers critter on the right, it was late afternoon in Aug, it was nice and warm and all of the mosquitos were out in full force. There are SO MANY stuck to that wet paint, it should still be a non-skid surface. :-)
I'm playing around with a couple more tools this week. If you have any comments on the picture of the 489, please let me know. Thanks for the story about little Rogers critter, John. How long ago did the Cumbres and Toltec aquire that little engine? I don't remember seeing it in when I went to Chama in 2011.... Enjoy Blake
Here's another set of photos. I'm starting to run out so, it might be time for another trip! Enjoy Blake!

Good ol' 494 welcoming folks to the Cumbres and Toltec RR in Antonio.
Another side of the abandoned tender in Chama yard
497 in Chama Roundhouse. What I wouldn't do to go back 10 years and ride that locomotive. Maybe we can see a '37 (492!) run in the next couple of years
