3 legged Elk Getting Dinner=Wacky roger

I found this post from years ago and wanted to share it with folks that had not seen it. I have always been amazed at how wildlife can survive. After I posted this someone said anybody that would do this to get a photo is Wacky. That is how I got my nickname Wacky roger.

Fantastic Roger!! We have a male black bear here that has been coming around for the last 3 or 4 years that is missing his front left paw. At a walk, he is very awkward, takes a lot of breaks, either sitting down or even completely laying down to rest. But when it comes to him running, you would swear he is on all four legs. As you said, it is totally amazing how any wild animal can adjust to survive.
