The Hotel & Shops Has A New Owner.

All of the closing papers have been signed so The Hotel & Shops in Chama, New Mexico has a new owner. Joe Kanocz is the new owner and his message to the public is do not expect a lot of changes. My bride (Barbara) and I will be staying in Chama cuz we feel like Chama is home for us. Joe is a long time friend and this deal was a friendly deal for both the buyer and the seller.

A BIG thank you to all our friends and customers the last 21 plus years for helping make The Hotel & Shops a fun place to work and live.

I'm sad that this is the end of an era, but I'm excited that y'all get to retire and overjoyed that you're staying in Chama. And, I can't think of anyone better suited to run The Hotel than Joe. This is very exciting!
