Very picturesque and geologically interesting area. Not particularly hospitable to us human types at certain times of the year but teeming with life just the same. Just curious... in photos 2, 3 and 5 there is a white mass near the center. Is that a separate rock formation, or a peek through a "window" formed by an arch?

I think it is a separate rock formation. Next time I get a chance I will fly higher and closer and then we will both know for sure. I got up to 430 ft from where I took off.

Actually it partially appears on the left of picture #1. From that shot it looks like either a slide from the white material on the top or possibly the white material went deeper and was covered by the reddish material which has now washed away.

Great pictures in any case and I may need to adjust may next trip so I can stop and study this.

IMHO it worth some time just to look at.
