C&TSRR = Locomotive 488 Has a Fire

After a complete mechanical re-build there is a fire in Locomotive 488.

At 4:02, she backed into the east side of the engine house under her own power. Great to see the old girl back!

My guess is maybe tomorrow she will go to Cumbres Pass and back.

She's back out ......now by the water tower.

When she does her test run to Cumbres I hope to get some videos and photos.

That's a beautiful sight! I saw it last year about this time and it sure didn't look so good.
