I wonder if they are going to just use the coal in 489's tender or clean it out and put in fresh. Though the coal in the pile has been snowed on all winter also. I had wondered if the plow was back on 489 since it is hard to tell from the tipple cam.

Curious about which day you shot the video. Looks, from the shadows, like it was rather early in the day. At that point in time, there was nothing hanging on 489's pilot beam and the steam dome cover was still tipped back. There was a lot of activity around her throughout Thursday. Thanks for posting this... interesting!

So, they could have attached something in the afternoon when working around the front end .
