The migrations of some of these birds is amazing. I'm most familiar with the Osprey not as much the smaller birds, but to think a bird flies several thousand miles in the fall, and back again in the spring is just amazing to me. The Osprey pair I watch on a cam up in Maine came back with the same rough look as this little guy, and it did take about a week of good eating and resting to look much more healthy. Then there is the fight to keep the nest, and all the rest. Nature is amazing to watch.
