Osprey In Flight

Getting ready to go Fishing. He will normally circle the nest on his way to the lake.

I think he is the she (the necklace!). Great shots either way.

If I remember right there was one still sitting in the nest.

If I remember right there was one still sitting in the nest.

They will alternate, both will take turns sitting on the eggs. The female has the bulk of time in the nest, the male gives her a break from time to time. Once the chicks hatch, the female will primarily feed them with the male doing the bulk of the fishing for the first few weeks anyway.

I've been watching a webcam of a nest up in Maine for a few years, as well as local nests here, fascinating birds to watch.
