If you like wildlife I am thinking you will enjoy this photo story of a elk surviving. I have had lots of folks tell me this photo story changed the way they think about animals.

That Elk is a helluva lot smarter than some segments of our population these days. Why work for food when you can sit on your butt and let the government feed you...

That's a great story Roger! Thanks for sharing it.
Animals have a way to figure things out and survive if they can, no matter if domestic pets or wild creatures they have the will to survive and the ability to adapt.
I see the date on this was back in 2009, curious if you ever came across this guy again in your travels?

Yes I saw him again in the dead of winter the next winter.
