Colorful birds in the right lighting. You make a good teacher today as well -- I noticed the eyes, grackles around here have all black eyes, so looking it up there are actually 11 different birds commonly called Grackles. Looks like you have the Common Grackle there, we have Boat-tailed Grackle here. Interesting learning, thanks for posting the pics!
