So lets go the other way...
Posted: Sun Aug 13, 2017 12:16 pmSunday, 7/30/17, I was set to ride Chama to Antonito on train 216. Here are some photographs on this run from Antonito to as far as Los Pinos.
- Tracy is up in the cab of 487 as he waits for departure.
- As we depart Chama, the coal tipple is seen from the back of the parlor car.
- The parlor is passing the throat of the yard so we can see the water tank and tipple.
- Jukes tree as seen from the east side.
- Looking down into Wolf Creek as we pass over Lobato trestle.
- Looking up at the 487 as we climb away from Lobato.
- Lobato trestle as seen as the train climbs the 4%.
- Looking back down the valley toward Chama.
- 487 continues to work up the 4% and there is a caboose tucked in behind it.
- Cinder Bear makes a surprise appearance in the parlor car.
