Nice lunch so to Chama we go...
Posted: Fri Aug 11, 2017 2:11 pmI have to admit, I have never tried either the turkey or meatloaf at Osier, sticking to salad since I don't normally eat lunch. Well lets get train 215 with the 463 underway.
- The Osier tank as we head out. Remember, all of the buildings in Osier, except the lunch room, are maintained by the Friends.
- The section foreman's house.

- As the train leaves Osier, it comes around a sweeping left had curve to follow the Los Pinos valley west.
- A look up the Los Pinos valley toward its head.
- Cascade trestle after crossing it.
- The train now curves right to follow the valley up to its end where the Los Pinos river splits.
- Looking up to the head end of the valley and the bridge over the Los Pinos river.
- Looking back at the Los Pinos tank as our train continues up the 1.5% grade to Cumbres.
- The car inspector's house at Cumbres. If you look closely at the roof, notice the patch cover placed at the end of work session E once the chimney was removed.
